We have recessed spotlights in the hallways and bathrooms. Cost: €85 net in concrete ceilings, €44 net in drywall ceilings, each without light bulbs. Sounds fair to me.

Are the larger HaloX housings (180mm) included as standard?
Then you can better align the escape route later with a line laser.
Such a rough ceiling tends to shift by 5-10mm ;)
The 180mm ones cost hardly more, I also took 3x 250mm for ceiling-integrated speakers for the kitchen, dining area and bathroom.
Or you hang the entire ceiling later, e.g. with a stretch ceiling.
PS: back then I bought the spots online and brought them directly to the concrete plant for the fine ceiling, that was cheaper than a flat rate.
But I laid the electrical wiring again in EL - when building with a general contractor you can often only say yes or no

With us also 85 euros/piece gross in filigree ceiling. We have spots in the hallways, bathrooms, as "additional lighting" behind the rows of chairs at the dining table and in the living room. Mostly dimmable. To me, they are coming off much too badly here in the thread.

The 3x1.5 costs him €150 per 500m roll. Per spot in drywall 5 minutes, in concrete ceiling 10 minutes...
Spots are a gold mine for the electrician.

All a matter of taste. Spotlights are great if you’re into 90s hair salons. They’re basically the octagonal bay window of lighting design. Or the slanted doors of children’s room planning on the upper floor.

You either love it or are forced into it by necessity. You shouldn’t judge that.

On cost increases: Now ENBW has also raised the rates for charging electricity (e-car) starting mid-January. But from 55 to 61 cents in the standard tariff (DC) is still manageable.
