Who else is currently switching their electricity tariff?
The market price has fallen again recently, but I’ve read several recent articles saying that in the medium to long term it will stay rather high and even get more expensive again.
So I thought I’d better secure a long-term price guarantee now, even if it’s at a higher but calculable level.
Besides, I found a provider who still only offers a 1-month cancellation period (Octopus).
I’m not too happy about the British parent origin, but at least it’s an eco tariff.
144 EUR basic price (relatively high), and just over 40 cents/kWh.
Berliner Stadtwerke unfortunately won’t budge from their 52.9 cents/kWh. Luckily I can also cancel with 1 month’s notice.
If the price for long-term contracts drops again in summer, I can just cancel again.
What are you up to?
Electricity from the basic supplier at 33 cents from January. I’ll observe how things develop over the course of the year and maybe react. Right now they are the cheapest. 10% increase, I can live with that.
Yes, and my heat pump electricity provider apparently forgot me. At least they haven’t sent any increase yet, even though the price guarantee has expired. And without an increase letter no higher prices. Let’s wait and see.
My son’s gas provider also hasn’t gotten in touch yet, so the price stays at about 12 cents for now.
