Wi-Fi extender??? But saved on the LAN? Should have just put an access point on the ceiling or wall.

You forgot the yogurt maker, dehydrator, electric can opener, ... ;) (I still think my grandma's electric knife is cool. :D)

But that’s more lighting and not the classic socket.

In the kitchen?

In the kitchen?

If they’re usually free, then 15 would have been enough. :p

Anyway, if I add up all the sockets in our kitchen, I get 17 pieces, including fridge, oven, steam cooker, dishwasher and robot vacuum. (The extractor hood is hardwired, so no socket.) So actually it’s only twelve, of which presumably nine are only used temporarily for hand mixers, immersion blender, sandwich maker, etc. The high number only results from the fact that we are planning two islands, between which of course no cables should hang. Otherwise, eight or so would have been enough easily.

Regarding the main topic: Our electrician is definitely anything but cheap, but he only charges 50 EUR for a separately fused socket and 35 for an additional one.

I usually do the electrical work myself up to the connection at the distribution board. The kitchen is nice and big and is used intensively. In summer, everything takes place in the kitchen, especially since the terrace adjoins it. I usually don't lay LAN cables in the house. Everything goes over Wi-Fi. You could certainly have done that, yes. But I actually don't see any necessity for it. And I don't need the SAT cables anymore either. And I have also laid those in every room.

Unlike Sat, IP also belongs to the future. I consider the solid technical foundation in the form of cables to be sensible. (Satkabel gibt es bei uns gar keine mehr.)

Sure, I also charge devices in the kitchen (not only there). It’s super convenient with the socket and countertop at an optimal height. What hasn’t been mentioned yet: My DECT phone has its charging station in the kitchen. It just makes sense with my floor plan.

You can construct anything as you like. Whoever also irons and holds conference calls in the kitchen will probably need more than someone who only cooks there. These discussions are completely pointless.
