Hi,

yeah, it was the same for me, I grew up in Wolbeck myself. So I was right on the border between city dwellers and country bumpkins. So we just joined the parties in both worlds! :-) Here in Franconia, no one believes that you can relaxingly cycle and drink beer at the same time. Of course not on the streets, but only on the little paths.... ;-)

Best regards,

Andreas

Gravelling is OK for tourist bike paths that are only used in good weather. If they are meant for year-round use, they should be asphalted or paved. Gravel is difficult to clear in winter and sooner or later organic material accumulates there, which creates mud.

Today the billing was done:
It was a great photovoltaic year 2022 :-)

6.24 kwp East/West
produced in 2022: 5847 kWh
used in 2022: 983 kWh

That results in €716 from the sale.
1300 kWh then purchased from the electricity provider.
Unfortunately, I can't manage to generate even more self-consumption.

For now, it would be enough for me if I could cover the approximately 30 km between my home and workplace (in the nearest significant town) by public transport in less than 1.5 hours and more frequently than every 2 hours.

Just put the hairdryer on the terrace and let it run when the sun is shining :p

But it doesn't have to be that everyone is standing/sitting at their workplace at 8:00 a.m. This inflexible way of thinking is the biggest obstacle that will still cost us dearly. Just like the mindset "I always have to have 2 cars fully charged in front of the door, in case my wife and I have to spontaneously pick up one child from Upper Bavaria and the other from North Frisia, separately..." Nonsense. Cars are not vehicles, cars are parking devices. A passenger car is designed for about 5,000 operating hours, which at an average speed of 50 km/h equals 250,000 km. From this you can already see that most cars don’t even reach this rather short lifespan. Of the 8,760 hours in a year, a normally used car maybe drives 500 hours. The remaining 8,260 hours it just stands around and takes up space. This cannot go on like this ;) If you want to increase your consumption, then start mining cryptocurrencies. You can hardly use excess energy better if you absolutely want to "waste" it.
