- The planned gas supplier is stopping its new customer advertising, i.e. we have to assume higher connection costs.
That's annoying... what could one possibly do about it?

The climate target is also purely political. I'll just leave you your romance of a 1:1 replacement with heat pumps :rolleyes:Poor comparison. And the second point is purely political.
Starting on page 102 is the building sector. Here is a graphic that supports my previous comment regarding the future mix of electricity & gas:
The fact that power demand will not increase is at least the decision of the Central Planning Commission in Berlin :D Although, even earlier (TM) in the good old days, people only dared to rely on five-year plans  I find 15 years already very bold - especially when you look at large projects about three orders of magnitude smaller like the BER...Interesting that the power demand does not increase at all. I thought my heat pump would soon cause a nationwide blackout - at least that's what the fossil fuels say
Another study estimates that 90% of heating systems are set too high (i.e., with too high a flow temperature). If these were adjusted/controlled more efficiently, a tremendous amount could be saved on heating energy alone.
The bigger problem will be implementing the measures – that is, the replacement or installations – through the craft trades. There are simply too few craftsmen for this huge task.
