I don't mean dust/lint, but really dirt. So where a vacuum cleaner is not enough. But yes, even there a restless pattern is certainly better.

We have medium to dark gray tiles in the bathroom and I wouldn’t do it again. You can see stains and dirt quite clearly (water spots, toothpaste, etc. – we have children) and the color looks rather cold. We are installing (having installed) wood-look tiles on the ground floor in a medium wood tone, very appealing, somewhat busy as wood usually is, and they were even mistaken for wood when unloading as neighbors came to see what we were getting. Absolutely timeless. I wouldn’t take gray at all anymore. And if it has to be gray, then preferably all uniform.

I don't find the comparison that flawed at all. At some point, you couldn't buy an exhaust without a catalytic converter anymore. That certainly wasn't a great thing for owners of Golf 1 convertibles, but it was good for the environment. The initial complaint here was about this kind of "scrappage premium." A premium is primarily an incentive. If I do X, I get a bonus for it. The rest of the draft law was actually not ready to be made public at all. It was leaked to Bild at a much too early stage, probably to trigger exactly such a media frenzy. See what Habeck said about it in the Tagesthemen.

Thank you very much for your answers. Our furniture is almost entirely white. The hallway on the ground floor and basement is currently planned in light gray and the adjacent guest WC is graphite gray. We originally decided that the narrow hallways would then look bigger, but it probably looks strange if the guest WC is then open, right?
Difficult.... we should give a final feedback today

Really? The plans have been known in relevant forums for weeks! Nothing, absolutely nothing new has been published. Presumably, they were just waiting for confirmation from a second source. Besides, it is primarily the journalists' job to follow up and uncover.
