Construction costs are currently skyrocketing

On the topic of purchasing land: At the beginning of the year, building plots were advertised here in a municipality, and we looked at the allocation but didn’t get anything suitable. At that time, out of 103 plots, all except 18 (all LPB III, the others no LPB) were reserved.

I just checked the municipality’s website again: about 40 plots are (again) free, about 20 only reserved. That is quite shocking, if 60% of the plots have not yet been sold. That would have been unthinkable a year ago (next major city 20 km away).

No idea how expensive it was before, currently we have received three trucks with screened topsoil, each with 26 tons. Per truck 515 euros :oops:

Are there still loads for the truck? My neighbor paid 15 euros per ton. I happen to know this exactly because we paid him a case of beer for two tons.

I think that is cheaper than with me.
Paid about the same amount for 15 cubic meters. Don’t know what the density factor is there.

Yesterday, an employee of a large regional civil engineering company was with us to disconnect the electricity before the demolition. I got him engaged in a conversation about the general order situation. He said that since April/May, the incoming orders from private builders have been extremely declining. Orders related to gas connections, for example, are almost non-existent anymore. Some projects were canceled and significantly more quotes are not being executed. A decline in orders and thus revenue is already clearly noticeable. If this continues longer, they want to consider short-time work.
