Intense 34%. Here, some, like me, have already been in their house for 3-4 years. And then simply 34% on top. A house today would cost six figures more without added value, meaning higher quality, more luxury, larger.

200 sqm, fully basemented, 1200 sqm plot with a large garden, greenhouse, etc.
She currently pays 600€ warm rent. The landlord is also an acquaintance, otherwise the rent would probably have been increased several times by now. 2 cars due to work.

And what are we supposed to do with this information now?
The hut has heating costs of over 500€ per month...?

A large part has 2 vehicles standing in the yard/on the street due to work...

We are too poor to inherit...

Keep dreaming. No one can afford their own house on Sylt or at Lake Starnberg that they can then easily pay off once they inherit the parents' house (especially since siblings usually also have to be bought out). Even a couple of doctors without children has no chance of owning their own home in such areas unless starting capital from the family is available (there was once a Spiegel article about this). If the inheritance tax were 50-75 percent without allowances (as demanded in the post I quoted), the last local would have to move away too. I originally come from an area where exactly this has been happening for decades. Every other house belongs to a football pro or some other super-rich people who are only there a few weeks a year, and everything there is exactly tailored to this clientele. Really great, such parallel worlds …
