No idea why, but our brine-water heat pump from AI does PassiveCooling "for free" and automatically (it was probably factored in somewhere, but the model suggested by the energy consultant could do it inherently)

As I have written before, we have this in the office and accordingly I know what the cooling can and cannot do. It is a bit more than 1-2 degrees below knee height.
I hadn’t even thought about sensors yet, but they probably don’t have any effect in the office either since the heating control is totally messed up and currently all valves are manually open. Well...don't be gentle, it's a rental... ;)

you must be Bavarian, given how you seem to disdain photovoltaic systems. :D

In researching our photovoltaic system, I concluded that, admittedly region-dependent, for every five rip-off offers there is one reasonable one. Several neighbors/friends also bought at fair prices (around €1500/kWp). We were lucky that our general contractor also offers photovoltaic systems with decent components and was even a bit cheaper.
In my opinion, behind many "it's just paying for (half) green freaks!" slogans often lies the reluctance to search for offers.

Compare the installed capacity in Bavaria with the other federal states...

sorry for the technical inaccuracy. I equated photovoltaic with wind energy. :)

That was more than just inaccuracy, my dear. That was ignorance ;) I think photovoltaics are great, just so we don’t misunderstand each other. But it is, mostly, a nice gimmick for people who can afford to throw money around...

If today I finance a photovoltaic system at 3, 4, 5%, at the currently astronomical prices due to the chip crisis and supply bottlenecks... then the thing won’t pay off in 25 years and by then the inverter will have died at least once...

That’s the point ;)
