That is why rail transport in Germany should be significantly expanded. It also has the advantage that more people would use it. Of course, tickets must then be priced accordingly cheaply. This actually works very well if subsidies are omitted in other areas. Efficient allocation for a given goal. I can’t say that I want to save the climate and then want to restart coal power plants again...

It was about the statement “increase in working hours”… “of course this does not affect civil servants”! If the employer likes it and the economic situation is bad, it can quite well be 45 hours per week. Civil servants do not have the right to strike. I would like to see IG Metall announcing a 45-hour week. In this respect, your above statement is completely unfounded. But never mind.

Anyone who claims today that the risk of accidents is not reduced by a speed limit is really out of their mind..... Ignoring facts? Having no idea about "speed differential" and its effects?

Statistically, that might be a matter of debate, because the probability of accidents on highways is already lower than on other roads. However, the severity of accidents cannot be dismissed entirely.

I can only recommend some dashcam channels on YouTube to see what high speed differentials lead to.
It is dangerous, it is exhausting, and it causes (!) traffic jams.

I simply love driving abroad; it is so incredibly much more relaxed because aggressiveness is taken out by regulation. Although 100 km/h in the Netherlands is also too slow for me; it feels like you don’t get anywhere.

Why were many track facilities dismantled? They were no longer used by industry. Certainly not because it was a cost-effective and efficient means of transport (it may be that calculations would yield different results now)

On Spiegel online today: "Plus 33.6 percent in May" [compared to the same month last year] "Producer prices have risen as sharply as they have not since 1949." The article also briefly refers to the construction industry.

Everything is already further terrible numbers :(
