If some were not so utterly blinded, they would have already recognized numerous sensible contributions on my part.

And the user Offtopic is doing justice to his name.

According to the price sheet Grundversorgung Gas as of 01.10.2022, the basic supplier tariff GVP has a gas price of 15.59 cents gross per kWh.
So not 22 cents. The price per unit applies from an annual consumption of more than 9850 kWh.

Reading educates!

Intermediate meter must be located in a frost-free area? That is not possible for me at all. The water pipes are certainly branched under the plaster, and there is not a separate pipe from the house connection to each withdrawal point. Or does it have to be that way? For me, the connections will soon be made by the municipal utilities, so I do not know exactly.

If it freezes, it can break. In that respect understandable. What you do from the meter to the point of use is your problem. You also do not have a meter for every point of use.

You are right. You simply should not water the lawn. I do water my fruit trees during very hot and long drought periods (I have already lost some due to the drought, I no longer want to take that risk) and young plants. I never water the lawn. Nevertheless, the submeter makes absolute sense, it saves money.

everything that is accepted by the supplier in terms of fittings / meters (must be accepted) must be frost-free. This applies to electricity and even more so to water. Otherwise, the person from the supplier will come and turn around immediately again ;)

With us, the submeter is located in the basement, just before the water pipe goes outside. That is also where I drain and turn it off in winter.
