Quick question - I just skimmed through a few specifications and it says the heating capacity is designed according to DIN4701. Is that okay? Is a hydraulic balancing of the underfloor heating always done or should that be specified?

I was also more referring to old buildings without underfloor heating where the heat pump is then connected to radiators.

Please don’t be sad. We will be happy in our new house and if we actually start another project, someone else will be happy in our house. That is something to be happy about. :)

If the price in 08/2023 is too high, he can cancel the contract without cost, right? Otherwise, the house supplier could demand exorbitant prices without the builder being able to object.

Sort of, DIN4701 was valid until 2003, afterwards it became invalid. Simplified methods are still based on it.
Since then, the heating load is correctly calculated according to DIN EN 12831.
You probably just found a few very old performance descriptions.

Hydraulic balancing is not legally required. However, it is a prerequisite for funding.
Apart from that, a heating system without hydraulic balancing does not make sense. For safety, the hydraulic balancing should be explicitly stated – because, as always, you only get what has been agreed upon in writing.

The circle of people in the South who have total construction costs of 1.3-1.5 million with land prices of 1000€/m2 and more will probably decrease, right? 1.2 million with 2.5% interest and 2.5% repayment are 5 bills per month :D
