There are gas instant water heaters that run on propane. This makes you flexible and you can shower forever. You can borrow such a propane gas bottle for it at any hardware store, and it lasts forever. We had it last summer in our temporary accommodation. If you need it, I still have it lying around;).

I have already heard of gas instant water heaters and there are 4 gas bottles available from using the motorhome. But I suspect special regulations regarding ventilation and exhaust pipe???>

We had it half outside, so nothing was needed for it. In the house, I would attach a flexible pipe. Regulations? No idea. I wouldn't be interested in that for a temporary solution.

I think I’ve registered those and I already have gas tanks, but somehow I’m uneasy about burning gas inside a sealed house... I have to look into it more closely...

The concern is justified, recently someone around here collapsed and died from CO from the gas heater mushroom in the poorly ventilated, but by no means airtight awning of his motorhome.

The concern is justified, someone recently collapsed dead here due to CO from the gas patio heater in the poorly ventilated, but anything but airtight awning of their motorhome.

Now, such an awning is considerably smaller than a house, and one only runs the instantaneous water heater for showering for a few minutes.
