Whether something is mixed in (sometimes the intermediate blocks are made of something other than wood, then they are sorted out) or something has leaked can be seen. And if you know where they come from, you can also determine whether they are safe.

And even in urban areas, we are much less segmented than in the USA. Universities are the same, and practically all universities here are free of charge. Bafög is a hassle and there should also be a discussion about how it is possible that the maximum rate is below the so-called subsistence minimum of social assistance. But basically, it is open to everyone who has a need. Vocational training helps all people who do not cope well with the university format but, for example, are good craftsmen.
It would certainly make sense to invest more money in the school system and enable better support in smaller classes. Especially in primary school. All-day care can also help to offset social differences. But again, compared to other countries, Germany is actually not doing so badly.

In § 3 BImSchV it states: No. 4: natural, piece wood (which can of course also be in the form of a board, and that is exactly what single-use pallets are), No. 6: painted, varnished or coated wood (with several exclusions that do not apply to single-use pallets), No. 7: plywood, chipboard, fiberboard or otherwise glued wood (with several exclusions that do not apply to single-use pallets). So if you are even allowed to burn painted and glued boards, you are definitely allowed to burn untreated boards. Especially since they fall under No. 4, natural in this context means untreated, not in their natural shape.
Whether they have come into contact with any substances can be seen.

you don't always see it.

can, but doesn't have to be. We have that in our circle of friends. Our buddy made it all the way to professor.

The BAföG should be revised, not only for students, but also the master craftsman BAföG. At least here we still have solid training in the dual system between semi-skilled and academic education. Smaller classes wouldn't be bad, although in my daughter's flexible class there are only 21 children, 2 of whom don't speak German. Those two have 2 hours of support and 2 hours of inclusion. Otherwise, they attend regular classes with books similar to Tiptoi (my daughter told me).

Exceptions always exist. In the first part, I talked about myself, among other things, and in the end, I did achieve something. Although I am only a manager, not a professor. But on average, there are just far too many children who fall through the cracks due to the poor staffing ratio. This might be less acute in a Bavarian village than in Berlin or Frankfurt. Personally, I also view federalism critically in this regard. That every federal state does its own thing when it comes to education is a mistake.

Yes, on the walk, you can smell it and with some there is green smoke from untreated wood
