Today the email from the GU with the price increases arrived:

Steel: 6.2k (12.8t)
Windows: 766€
Insulation: 845€

I will have the steel price explained to me in more detail again, but I think it will stay that way. The other two are completely okay. For the remaining trades, we are below 5% and therefore there will be no price adjustment :-)
Possibly the carpenter will come with a few percent, but all in all we find that very reasonable considering that we received the offer in late autumn 2021.

Imagine: retirees are just as much individuals as 25- to 60-year-olds. You don't give away any part of your soul in that yet.

Wrong, there are only two kinds of retirees: Those who grumble and complain grimly about everything, and those who talk to you in a friendly, life-affirming way and you think, "I definitely want to become like that." Anyone who claims otherwise is lying.

Category 3 of retirees: Always in front of the TV. They only go out for shopping at most, otherwise you simply don’t see them.

Agreed. I will extend my list accordingly. But seriously: We live in a "Touriregion light" with some campsites that mostly attract retirees. I spend a lot of time outside and basically greet everyone. It is either/or and nothing in between.

The "in between" are probably those who do not visit campsites, at least not the ones in your town, meaning they prefer the retirees. Best example, but just one among many: the retirees who visit campsites that mostly attract an average age, you don’t even get to know them ;) And apparently the horizon there is somewhat cloudy, so you cannot look further? I believe you don’t know enough to handle more than two pigeonholes :D
