I've been interested in that for a while now. In our neighborhood, there are 3 hairdressers whose husbands also did not attend university (which of course doesn't mean anything) and who obviously could afford these houses for 1 million.
Sure, it could also be an inheritance....
But the majority of our neighbors work as lawyers, teachers, doctors, engineers...

I've definitely thought about the fact that tips might considerably increase the income for some good hairdressers and it might not be as financially "bad" as one often hears.

Well, just some thoughts, I’m well aware that there can be a thousand reasons for everything.

But you definitely have to deduct childcare costs 3 times, otherwise the work won’t work out. Unless you assume that you live in federal states that spend money from fiscal equalization for benefits that the payers themselves cannot afford (big question: why is that?). A full-day place in the daycare costs about 240€ per month here in the south. For children over 3 years old, I think it’s a bit cheaper; in any case, you can offset the entire child benefit against the childcare. And bringing 3 small children to daycare every morning is not something you just do casually. For me, just one child is enough to stress me out in the morning ;)

Then just walk over, ring the bell and ask if it gives you sleepless nights. :D These are the dear neighbors who care about their residents.

That was good. "Here in the south" one can gladly pay almost €600 – like we do. At €240 I would do a little dance around the village square.

I think, upon closer consideration and taking into account the initial reactions here to your calculation, you yourself realize that this is quite nonsense or that other factors like childcare costs significantly affect your calculation ...
Just consider that with three kids you also need an appropriate apartment ...

By the way, I deliberately chose this example because I grew up exactly under these conditions – so I know what I’m talking about. ;-) It certainly wasn’t easy, and savings were made everywhere ...

Exactly, those will be the ones in the future who will still be able to afford building a house. Provided the wife has learned the hairdressing trade. The rest will then live in the ghetto.
