I would ask what the timeframe is until they are finished. With us, they taped all the over 3-4 weeks ago.

Similar with us, it took forever. If possible, I would have the plastering done before moving in. Then I cut slots into some windows after the base plaster because there is at least a 2-week break between base and top plaster. And then a few more days before painting. If in doubt, the plasterers can just roughly stick a foil over the slot.
