significantly less efficient, sound bridge, etc. This was about having to save costs somewhere.

Yeah, that depends on the number of rooms. At some point, it tips over.

And since we’re already off-topic: shading has been emphasized several times. It is very important, but less so in the south; the east and west are really bad in summer. One shouldn’t forget THOSE windows.
Through south-facing windows, comparatively little heat enters the house because of the very high summer sun.

„Builders return plots of land to the city of Verl“ Published on 02.06.2022 in „Die Glocke“ So it seems that the returns mentioned several times here are continuing.

I only have 10m² of screed on the ground floor (bathroom), otherwise only parquet on a wooden subfloor, walls are wood + drywall. There is no more construction moisture ;) By the way, I was just talking to my sister over coffee about her newly built house (rented out for investment purposes) with decentralized controlled residential ventilation. She (my sister) would go crazy because of the noise it makes. Even on level one!

A lot of wood helps, of course, to keep the indoor climate pleasant. Our office building is a solid construction/concrete structure. Only the stairs, the frames of the interior doors, and the window frames are made of wood.

Yes, ventilate nicely in the evening, then you accomplish ventilation and cooling at the same time.
