There is currently a problem with a solar roller shutter here. Velux wants 98 EUR for the call-out, 95 EUR/hour for the technician, 29 EUR for disposal and material according to consumption. The solar set (I assume that is what we need) costs 400 EUR for this type of window. So. We googled, opened the window (this can be done safely, you don’t have to go outside, don’t have to lean out, etc. in our case), after 5 minutes the old battery was out, we can buy the new one for about 100 EUR, and then it will be reinstalled.

One of our solar roller shutters is also malfunctioning, although they were only installed in 2016. I researched and was shocked to read that with such old roller shutters, not only the battery but also the solar module, motor, and battery should be replaced at once. The new solar module from 2022 is said to have better performance and be more durable, and the new motor quieter. I really wonder why Velux has taken the crank roller shutters out of their range.

The old orders from some companies seem to have been processed by now and the demand is not so stable. Just now we had a representative from Geru at the door of our old building still to be renovated, who explained to us that he paints facades and already did this in the neighboring street in 2013. I'm curious to see how the upcoming company search for renovations will turn out.

From them we received almost no offers or only rejection offers ... at the moment there seems to be no interest in designing round and semicircular shapes, especially in sandstone color. Without exception, everyone wanted to confine us to square, practical, gray.

I recently saw the first job requests from garden landscapers on EKA. The air is getting thinner, and after all the trouble we've had in recent years finding companies, I don’t think that’s so bad. We are currently once again annoyed with our plumber, who simply does not complete a job, and as a result, we are stuck in an endless waiting loop and cannot apply for the subsidies.
