Seeing a discount store or supermarket as a benchmark is wrong in my opinion... They are simply pushed aside after 15-20 years and rebuilt...

A new school is being built here right now... the only German thing on the construction site is the name of the construction company on the crane... whether that can be the way... I don’t think so

With rising interest rates, we don't need skilled workers in construction for the next 2 years anyway.

Just stumbled upon this: The ECB raises by 0.5%... For about three weeks now (estimate), at least construction interest rates have been stagnant - or? (I recently subscribed to Klein's daily newsletter :D) - for laypeople like me: Can you roughly work with that? (Of course, my potential own interest rate is quite different again, but a few weeks ago we were already strongly around 4% instead of 3.12 for 10 years...)

Otherwise, daily price increases for all energy-related trades are rolling in (building materials trade) - 10-15% across the board with rather spikes upwards than downwards... But rumor has it that at least steel will continue to fall.

I'm not really active here yet, but at least I diligently read everything again :)

We had the option of a plot of land from the city in the summer, but due to the extremely high cost estimates from a solid house builder and an architect (over 4,000 turnkey per sqm without the land in the Hanover region) we decided against it again... Now we have nevertheless decided to dare it - with a completely different approach. The plot is bought and the preliminary planning with the manufacturer is going very well - I hope to maybe create a thread about our floor plans and ideas this year. I am already looking forward to your feedback!

Warm pre-Christmas greetings

Not directly construction costs but since I classify it here as fuel for the builder: today bought ready-made venison goulash on the market in a pouch, about 500-600g for €19.90. Last time about 3 months ago it was still around €16. There is an abundance of deer here, only the ammunition is no longer available or outrageously expensive.

Phew... That’s a lot – roughly, which area is your "area"? Goulash?! Such prices are usually for loin? (At least here with us...)

What are you doing about the electricity price increase? We received the information letter from n-ergie a few weeks ago. Electricity price practically doubled. Are you filing an objection or would we get the original price anyway in case the increase was not lawful?
