THEN there are absolutely fewer severe courses, since these are x% of all infections. b) Or there are just as many severe courses with fewer infections. THEN masks would promote severe courses and prevent mild ones. -> And now let's put a) and b) against each other in a plausibility check….Mask only protects against infection and not against severe course.

How can anyone still get upset about the corona nonsense? The topic is over and done with. Exactly what was predicted from the very beginning is happening: there are always new mutations that become more contagious but less deadly and they will remain with us. In other words, corona no longer disappears but is now another respiratory illness that circulates in waves and your body will regularly come into contact with. Whether you prepare your body for it with vaccinations or think that an infection is less risky than the vaccine simply DOESN'T MATTER TO ANYONE!
Your opinion on this is important to you personally, and that's fine, but otherwise it is completely irrelevant to others. Do whatever you want, but don't bother other people with it!

On the topic, has anyone ever noticed price reductions in insulation materials?
Two years ago, I already looked into better insulating our upper floor ceiling. Back then, I was looking for EPS boards with a thermal conductivity class of 35 and 80 to 120 mm thickness.
Unfortunately, I backed out at the time and didn't order it. The current price is almost three times what it was two years ago.
For me, the question now is:
Should I get upset and order at the high price or wait and hope that it comes down a bit again?
