Construction costs are currently skyrocketing

Quick question to the group:

If I cancel my electricity provider, do I automatically fall into the basic supply? Do I have to take action myself? I read something about a replacement supply after cancellation, which is supposed to be significantly more expensive?

How do you calculate? I need about €150/month at 32 cents to heat our 220 sqm (and really nice and warm). Hot water is included. I think that's pretty great! Renovated old building with air-water heat pump.

With an average annual performance factor of 3...

That would put you at 15,000 kWh heat demand.
With 155 m² that would be 97 kWh / m² / year. Something is completely wrong there...

For comparison: Our house from 1930 (renovation planned) has 137 kWh / m² / year.

What is this actually ABOUT CURRENTLY? Energy prices? I have now read back over 15 pages ;)
