We are at €1.45/m3 and €16.04 basic charge per month in the district [sächsische Schweiz]. I think other services are also included in the basic charge.

Wastewater is not even on the bill

But it's somehow "crazy" that water is so cheap and the basic fee is so high... better the other way around to encourage saving in my opinion

Then you are already quite economical? Average consumption per person is 120l, which makes 3.6cbm or €6.66 per person and month. With two people in the household, you would be above average.

- small extras from us that deviate from their standard: venetian blinds + 3m glass sliding door instead of a hinged door in the living/dining area (although I can't say how much that amounts to)

That should be listed in the offer though, right? Our providers have itemized something like that very transparently.
