I specifically wrote to pay attention to the panel dimensions. In PL, 12.0 is a construction dimension and in DE a 12.5

Overall, I believe that the PL boards are not much different from the DE boards because they are standard boards. Possibly, the manufacturers adjust the raw density a bit, which saves costs.

Overall, there will be several factors that make up the low price. Lower wage levels, production in Eastern Europe or possibly even in Poland, the basic material gypsum is easier and cheaper to obtain in PL than in DE.

Gypsum will become really scarce and therefore expensive in the coming years. This is because most processed gypsum, REA gypsum, comes from the flue gas desulfurization of coal-fired power plants. The more plants are closed, the less REA gypsum is available on the market.
