We checked yesterday whether our terrace slabs are drivable. Price in 2019 was 70 euros per square meter, yesterday's price was 119 euros per square meter. That's not quite 3 years apart.

That's exactly the impression I have right now. A few sellers are still trying at the last minute to push the argument "act quickly, the price rally in the real estate market continues," but the trend is rather towards increased supply and thus slightly more realistic prices. Where just a few months ago the market was practically dead and every outrageous offer was snapped up, now some listings remain and that creates a bit more market within the "market."

I'm curious, maybe opportunities to buy will arise again in the next few months or 1-2 years. If no one speculates on rising prices anymore (and many do here in the Munich outskirts...) something can really get going.

This happened to thousands of families as well. Just like us. My wife is a teacher and had to give video lessons all the time. The child was at home. I, as a controller in a hospital, also worked from home. And all this without parental support (they live 200-500 km away) and in 70 sqm of living space. It meant that I occasionally held room conferences between unicorns (in the children’s room) :-)

It’s all possible, you just have to want it

I rather believe that for Oettie, home office was simply not possible (it was the same for thousands of families). Such jobs do exist. Work in production, healthcare, nursing, etc. etc.

Then it must be others, yesterday at Hornbach 60x60 porcelain tiles for 28 euros per m2. So it is definitely still possible to get it cheap, but people have forgotten how to use alternatives and accept the smallest compromises. Although I cannot see any compromises with terrace slabs.

Maybe the inflation we are currently experiencing is not so bad after all, and we will change our excessive consumption even though it is difficult.

Prestige is not everything.

In March, producer prices in the Eurozone increased by 36.8% compared to the same month last year, as reported by the statistical office Eurostat. This is the highest rate since the introduction of the euro. Producer prices had already risen at a record pace in the previous months. /

yeah yeah, the ECB first has to wait for the figures before taking action. Let’s see how long they can keep preaching this mantra.

my 60x60x2cm porcelain terrace tiles are from Hornbach. I paid €22.75/m2 last summer, and I installed them myself in a drainage bed.

However, if you want premium quality, you have to pay accordingly, €120/m2 for car park solid products are not uncommon in specialist stores!

Hornbach is certainly top for many things, I also bought my floor tiles for the three bathrooms there. +120m2 paving stones and 2 tons of granite. All for €79 transport costs xD
