Also currently consider whether we should sign the contract at the end of the year or wait it out and hope that the prices will be adjusted downwards in the next two years. Although that is rather unlikely?

I do not expect prices to drop significantly. Prices will only go down again when demand decreases or supply increases.

I do not see the former happening.

I also do not see the latter happening since land is scarce and the trade profession is also struggling with a shortage of young professionals.

It's currently a shitty situation. Probably, it will be possible to build again under more moderate conditions in a few years, but in the next 1-2 years, in my opinion, rather not.

If the commuter allowance is eliminated and the CO two price rises sharply, the rural house will become affordable again.

Fortunately, this is not foreseeable either.

Which is still more bearable than the urban property prices when commuting twice instead of five times a week. But yes, I agree, reducing the commuter allowance causes rural exodus.
