Fuel prices are fluctuating at the moment, yesterday morning it was 182.9 for E10. Same time, same gas station. I am now getting used to filling up when prices are low, even if it's only 15 liters.

You can buy oil when it is cheaper, mostly in spring or summer. With gas, you are always dependent on the current price.
At the moment, the gasoline price is extremely volatile, fluctuating between €1.73 and €2.03 per liter of E10 within a few hours.
Only oil heating customers were completely forgotten or not considered in the price cap that is supposed to come.

I've been doing that for a long time. When the tank is half empty, I top up at favorable prices.

But you don't buy gasoline in the morning either. That alone is a difference of up to 8 cents for us. E10 costs here in the evening about 180.9 cents, sometimes also 179.9 cents. I did another Poland trip over the weekend. The exchange rate is still actually great. But apparently, many things have become more expensive in Poland. My few Ikea items were cheap. But I was also at Castorama and many things were about the same as in DE. OSB was actually even more expensive in my opinion (40 EUR for 250*62*2.2). I had actually thought I might be able to get a wood bargain (at least not at Castorama). Gasoline was of course cheaper, 154 cents with a fee for card foreign use. Toilet paper was so-so, other groceries depend. Overall, "only" 150 EUR saved on the trip. Although the child was happy (adventure trip with bonus dad), that is of course priceless...
