Construction costs are currently skyrocketing

The average person usually doesn’t notice a difference, especially if the air is already good anyway. So a "Man, you have a great indoor climate, probably lime plaster, hmm?" is not something you can really expect from your guests.

After months of searching, we finally found a tiler with a reasonable price. For 37m2 with baseboards (excluding the tiles themselves), almost all offers were around 3900-5000€. All of which I considered way too high, since the substrate is a new screed and they are only floor tiles, so mostly "straight forward". We have now found one that costs us 2500€. But it was not easy. With most offers, I was absolutely shocked.

Oh, and in the garden project (we are creating large half-high vegetable beds for partial self-sufficiency), here are a few current figures:

- Timber trade: €29.5 for 5m of untreated spruce plank
- Container service: €80 per trip with a very small truck, €25/cubic meter of compost soil as bulk goods

Insulation of 92 sqm gable wall with 14 cm mineral wool commissioned. Cost 140€/sqm for preparatory work, insulation, plastering, painting, and scaffolding for 4 weeks, roofing work to extend the roof overhang 5,000,-€. The offers ranged between 230€ and 135€, roofer between 4,000€ and 9,500€. In my opinion, there were 3 defensive offers, also said a friend, retired cleaner. Btw: Approval from [BAFA] is still missing…
