Take tibber. Currently around 23-26 cents on average with a 1 month cancellation notice. Electricity price according to the spot price. Also with pulse varies hourly.

Well, in December on average about 55 cents. It was simply dark and quite windless. Over the year not much will change.

It also strongly depends on the place of residence. We consider it back and forth, also check Tibber daily ...
But we are miles away from 26 cents here.

However, it is not only a north-south gradient, but also an urban-rural difference. 20 km further in Rostock, the kWh costs 5 cents less.

Fairness is something else.

Regarding Tibber: do I understand correctly that in addition to the Tibber basic fees, the actual basic fee is also added, meaning Tibber passes on the basic fee from the grid operator and metering point operator? Then the advantage disappears even faster. The Pulse for €99 also has to pay off first.
Otherwise, it is quite attractive; in the home office, you could simply run or program the dishwasher, washing machine, dryer at noon.

Tibber and co are basically a bet that you can control your electricity consumption in such a way that you come out cheaper than the average of all customers. The problem is, there is usually not much to control. Dishwashers and washing machines are now quite efficient, so it doesn't add up to much. I only see an electric car as a possible controllable consumption on a larger scale. Additionally: anyone who has [Photovoltaik] will already be well supplied with their own electricity during cheap times. For me, saving with Tibber is more for people who do it as a hobby.

One doesn't base their life on the electricity price, honestly. Some people really must have a lot of time.

I have also had Tibber for years and am quite satisfied. In winter, with a bit of automation, you can also charge your photovoltaic battery (which is otherwise mostly idle capital during these months) at cheap times and benefit from the price. Of course, this is also a "hobby" - but I think that such offers will continue to be expanded - especially because of e-cars and heat pumps.
