Higher grid fees in the north, where a lot of renewable energy is generated, the population density is low, bam higher burden for everyone.
Friends in Franconia for 29 cents
A few days ago, sitting together on vacation and looking, that was Stromee. But they are out again or more expensive, today Eprimo for just under 30 cents in francs And in our north 37.4 cents All found in the comparison portal with 24 in the name
Even when I compare electricity prices between the North and South, I could cry. In the North, I get the cheapest green electricity for 37 cents, friends in Franconia pay 29 cents. Honestly, that makes me a bit angry.
Why is it so different?
There is exactly one reason: grid charges. These are essentially set by the large transmission system operators based on the investment volume. Now, especially in SH and also in MV and Lower Saxony, a lot of money is being invested in grids to connect on- and offshore wind turbines and to build main lines towards the south. The investment costs are then distributed among the respective grid users. Now, in northern Germany, very little electricity is also used (little manufacturing industry/heavy industry) with additionally low population density. Thus, the high costs are spread over few kWh.
Nothing is being done in the more southern regions, the power lines run into nowhere and the electricity consumption per meter of grid is higher.
There are efforts by the northern state chauvins ... uh state leaders to seek changes, but I believe Günther Daniel has little influence compared to the leaders of NRW/Bavaria/RP/Hesse/etc. The latter naturally have little interest in changing that.
By the way, Rooobäärt also railed against the regulation during his SH times, but when it comes to the big feast, everyone thinks of themselves first.
