Two years ago, when no craftsmen could be found anymore, we had a minor roof damage. Only one (large Berlin) company responded and repaired it within two weeks. When I asked amazed why they still came to me despite the order situation (also out in the suburbs) for a trivial job, the boss said: "We also take care of the small customers because they matter when things don’t go well." Wise man, whom I still praise for that today!I can absolutely confirm that. For 2 !! years we searched for a landscaping gardener. We contacted EVERYONE in the directory and within a 20km radius - nothing! We didn’t receive a single response. Then we even called everyone back - still no appointment could be made. We couldn’t believe it. At some point, we found one of those “doorbell flyer companies” in our mailbox. We got in touch and someone did come. They looked at everything, discussed it, and even handed over a plan for the outdoor facilities. That was 9 months ago now and despite several inquiries, we have never received a quote. So much for that. Recently, when we offered our paving stones for free on the relevant portal before the demolition started, three “characters” got in touch asking if we were looking for someone to redo the outdoor facilities. We politely declined and are doing it ourselves now, no matter how the result will look in the end, rather than begging on our knees.
