But you ARE allowed to say everything! But anyone else IS allowed to tell you that they think it's stupid.

That‘s it. That is freedom of speech.

And yes: It makes a difference whether you say: BB is ugly vs. I think BB is ugly. „Is“ vs. „Think“ is pseudo-fact vs. subjectivity

I thought the word ugly already sufficiently expressed subjectivity. But okay. And yes, everyone is allowed to criticize my opinion, but not to deny it. But when I read comments from e.g. , I just like to block them. If someone criticizes another person's criticism, that person should also maintain a certain form. Because then it is not criticism, as was written here, but an insult.

An opinion is indicated with: "I think that" or "in my opinion is". The difference: "I think fat people are an imposition" is a basis to be able to discuss and exchange opinions about. A forum is good and there for something like that. With the sentence: "Fat people ARE an imposition" a completely different signal is sent. It leaves many speechless, causes some to turn their back on the person who says that. So, if a place IS ugly, it has a different significance in a forum than "in my eyes, the place is ugly." One can have a good conversation about the latter. Not about the former.

It was more meant as an example that an opinion does not have to be expressed everywhere at all times just because one is allowed to.

Your version in a room with fat people could be the start of a Little Britain sketch ;-)

I am also very interested in the answer. I quickly googled some pictures from Brandenburg and I am impressed. It is also said to be the state with the most water, and I can hardly imagine that a state with many rivers and lakes could be ugly. However, I have never been there personally.
