Construction prices:
If the global economy weakens due to rising interest rates as a result of inflation, the oil price could fall just like prices for certain building materials.
Everything that is burned or requires gas, such as construction chemicals, clinker, bricks, etc., should remain expensive.

oh.... Just leave the subject here and focus on construction topics. But still, I’ll feed the troll once again : Quite a lot of polemics and platitudes in a few lines. Respect. We are not going to decide on a speed limit here anyway. By the way, the majority of Germans are in favor (there are countless surveys, most of which were not conducted by lobby organizations of the automotive industry, and about 60-70% are in favor of a corresponding limit). Personal responsibility works well with issues like alcohol, smoking, seatbelt laws, etc. Then it will also work with speeding (irony off). By the way, fuel prices do not stop anyone (well, maybe one out of 100) from driving fast. Just look around on the highway. And we do not have a prohibition mentality here anyway. There are significantly more bans and restrictions in most other inner- or outer-European countries (where most of us do not want to live). Politics steers, manages and regulates (ideally), otherwise we would have anarchy.

I am generally curious about what will happen when the ECB raises the key interest rate. Currently, only 0.25% is foreseeable, which is not in proportion to the extent to which construction interest rates have risen. A stronger increase has been announced for the end of the year. But the question remains how some EU countries would cope with higher interest rates.

I’m about to fall off my chair laughing. Driving more focused and less annoyed because you’re not "artificially" slowed down? On which German highway are you driving? We drive once or twice a month 400 km one way on the highway to the in-laws. My experience is that most of the kilometers are without speed limit and also tempt you to occasionally drive at 200 km/h – wonderful this feeling of freedom and diesel. I then drive just as much less annoyed until a truck in front of me moves over to the left lane at 80 km/h and happily tries to overtake another truck there for 5 minutes. Driving here at 130 km/h is much less exhausting and instead of being artificially slowed down by 120 km/h I am repeatedly slowed down by about 50 km/h. When I drive here with cruise control I get slowed down relatively gently, at 200 km/h I feel like an anchor is dropped on the rear..

According to our advisor, the ECB increase and the higher collateralization from July have already been priced in by the banks
