It arrived here yesterday as well. Similar from Kagebau, Ecosystemhaus, Little-Family-Home, and Haus Compagnie.

I think the topic is just now reaching the media. It will hit some builders really hard. Let the delivery delays at some points stretch into months... Then it will unexpectedly become more expensive for some due to provision interest.

At the moment, I am quite glad that we did not buy either the major renovation project or a building plot. If planning certainty is needed because of a limited budget, you are really screwed right now.
I hope it calms down a bit by autumn.

Therefore, my frequently repeated advice: If an additional cost of 10 or 20 K seriously endangers the project, it is better not to build at all or to build more cheaply. And I am not saying this because I have it so easy, but one must always expect five-figure extra costs, even with careful planning.

Would you prefer it if, upon signing, it said: "Sorry, we have to raise the prices now." I think it’s rather fair to warn the interested parties in advance. These providers probably can't do much about the price increases either.

I don’t like to put my signature in "either now immediately or..." situations.

Yes, what is inherent in a construction project. Unfortunately, your unplanned extra costs currently still have to be multiplied by 1.10 - 1.20. And on top of that, your actual & planned basic costs have also been moved significantly upwards.

10 to 20 K are probably not the problem. That should be manageable for almost everyone. But from 30 K on, I wouldn't enjoy it at all anymore... And then possibly additional costs like provision interest, double burden from rent, etc...
