Our old electricity contract for our rental apartment runs until the end of the year.

Then we will probably move into our single-family house currently under construction with a heat pump. That means we will need significantly more electricity to operate the heat pump from the end of the year.

Is it worthwhile to go to MediaMarkt now and sign a recommended tariff here? Would a start of supply so far in the future be possible?

We also once switched providers at Saturn in the course of buying a refrigerator. The switch would only have been possible after 18 months and we never heard anything more about it.

We now pay 0.45 kWh and 16€ basic price with Vattenfall in a two-year contract. They were the cheapest.

18 months is too long. Currently, I still have the favorable price from August and recently wanted to use the Media offer, so I wanted it from August 23. But it was too long for eprimo. At eon, the lead time is longer than at eprimo.
