It just doesn’t work if you have cats ;)

You can get fly screens cheaply at any hardware store. These also last for years. The very simple ones, where you stick the Velcro to the frame and push the screen to the edge. We have had this for years; we only remove the screens in winter if needed. Fixed screens are of course better on doors. Our cats have already taken some out, which is why we use the cheap solution there. We also don’t have screens on the doors because of the cats.

Little refueling anecdote: my tank half empty... I've been constantly watching the price for the last three days. €2.08 until yesterday then up to €2.14. Just now I refueled for €2.09. I really wish this rip-off would stop sometime.

Yes, there are solutions for that too.

And which ones? The window should be open at night and the cat should be able to go out and come back in.

What is this botched job with the fly screens and the self-adhesive Velcro strips supposed to be? That is something for Hartz IV, but not for a KfW55 house. There are also good solutions at aldi with a frame or otherwise very inexpensive solutions. The glue from the Velcro strips is very difficult to remove again.
