We have (for comparison):

1. tall cabinet with 2 internal drawers and otherwise shelves
2. tall cabinet with oven and internal drawers at the bottom
3. base cabinet 90 wide with drawers
4. base cabinet 100 wide with drawers
5. omitted
6. tall cabinet with refrigerator
7. 2 wall cabinets 60 wide

1. base cabinet for dishwasher
2. base cabinet for sink with drawer
3. base cabinet with waste drawer
4. base cabinet 90 wide with drawers

1. 30 base cabinet as pull-out pantry
2. 60 base cabinet with drawers
3. 60 base cabinet with door and shelves

So the number of cabinets is about the same – it feels like you have one more cabinet. You have more internal drawers – one of those costs us about 100 €. The appliances have an internet retail value (always the cheapest online) of about ~4200 €. For Nolte a price of 10800 € was quoted, for Häcker Systemat 11200 €. Fronts are lacquer and laminate (mixed) – countertop laminate. I think your fronts are more expensive – I also assume that the Next 125 from Schüller is more expensive.

It is hard to assess the price absolutely – but maybe this gives you a reference. If you want to spend the money and then enjoy the great kitchen, that’s okay. If you want to save money, a change of manufacturer or different fronts would be an option.

Hi,

Buying a kitchen and especially comparing kitchen prices really seems to be an issue of its own. After being confronted for the second time with completely unserious pricing strategies ("This kitchen (FURNITURE ONLY) costs 22k € according to the list, with us you get the XYZ discount to 15k and the 'something else' discount to 12k and the 'I like you so much' discount to 10k and also the 'we only know each other for 60 minutes but you’re my best friend' discount to 8.5k. What kind of crap is that? I really love negotiating and haggling, but for that I go to the flea market, not the furniture store!) we have written off furniture stores/kitchen studios as serious business partners. It will now be an Ikea kitchen, at least I can estimate the price and especially, I can see how it is composed. And the kitchen costs the same on Monday as on Tuesday, as on Wednesday, etc...

You can only advise: get comparison offers and have them give you the planning documents. If they start messing around with that (most of them will), you already know that you don’t have a competitive price. Otherwise, they could just hand the stuff over. And you should smack them with that right in the face. Anyone who behaves unseriously as a provider shouldn’t be surprised if the customers get difficult.

As a benchmark, you can add up, just for fun, what the furniture would cost at Ikea. Yes, those aren’t glass fronts and probably not otherwise comparable in quality to your 21k € kitchen, but it gives you a feeling where a still qualitatively acceptable kitchen might land. You currently have 21k € minus 6k € appliances minus 2k € installation, so about 13k € for the furniture including countertop but without installation.

Without having calculated it exactly, I would roughly estimate 4-6k € for the Ikea furniture for your kitchen.

By the way, for the appliances you can safely take the lowest internet prices (fairly including shipping). The purchase prices of a big kitchen builder will definitely be below the retail prices of the appliance dealers. If they can charge you more, there is still room left.

Best regards,

Andreas

Agree with Andreas!
That's how we proceeded too: Ikea kitchen would cost us about 4000 € for furniture - electrical appliances are around 4000 T€ -> 8000 € without delivery and assembly. Fairly speaking, it will probably be a bit more expensive because the countertop has to be cut somewhere etc. - let's say a total of 8500 € including delivery.
Since we were confirmed from several sides that installing the trim strips at Ikea is probably not so easy and there are other pitfalls during assembly, we then went to the kitchen studio... the first one was a bad joke, just as Andreas described... the same kitchen from Nobilia was supposed to cost 14 T€ - but we didn’t negotiate much there anymore.
After a 4-month break, we dared to go to a furniture store again and were quite positively surprised: 11 T€ was asked. Much back and forth and swapping appliances and mentioning that we also had another offer, in the end we were at 10800 € - no pressure, no exaggerated sales tricks (a little bit has to be). At the kitchen studio, from the beginning, a realistic price of 11200 € was called out (at least I think so).
Once we asked if anything could still be done on the price and then 10800 € was offered - no idea if the seller is somehow reading where I write; maybe just coincidence.
Now the question is whether Systemat for 10800 or Ikea for 8500 excl. assembly. I think we will probably buy the Systemat or try our luck somewhere else again?
Difficult... I think at some point you have to decide.

What is the RRP of next125 and the appliances?

30% should already be possible.... with luck maybe a bit more. For our kitchen, which also plays in the next125 league, the first salespeople dropped out at 30%. That must have been where the pain threshold started. Apparently, they are not allowed to go down any further by the manufacturer.

In all this, you must not forget that the seller usually took a lot of time to plan the kitchen. Therefore, I can understand that the plans are not simply handed over. However, you can still bargain. But at some point, the limit is reached, as no one works for free! You also want fair pay!

In my opinion, the price is right. We had an offer without an island, but with four meters of tall cabinets with lacquer fronts. I checked the offer price again in the folder, it was €19,000. Glass fronts are even higher quality. And Schüller is in a different league than IKEA, Nobilia, or Nolte!

But I would like to remind you again that you can see every fingerprint on it. I still haven't managed to touch the cabinets without leaving marks, unless I use a towel for that. [ops:]
