Are you talking about me? None of the theses are bold.
The gas price will stabilize at the latest with a new government in Russia.
When will that happen? No idea, I expect it to be months rather than years, but basically it doesn't matter.
In the long term, Russia will continue to supply Europe with gas. They have the gas and need the foreign currency, we have the money and need the gas.
Otherwise, almost 50% of German households heat with gas, you don't just replace that in a few years like that.
You can very easily calculate the economic feasibility yourself.
8k for a new gas burner vs. 100k (if that's enough) for energetic renovation.
You can have heating costs of 200-300€ a month for many years until it pays off.

I would like to agree with you and consider the gas heating system to be the most sensible solution in unsanitary old buildings. I just lack the confidence that politics sees it the same way. With the issue of climate protection, a huge risk has been created, and geopolitics has now significantly expanded it. Accordingly, my expectation is that they will now push through at all costs and force out the gas heating system. A relaxation in the gas market is not in sight in the medium term. A very large part comes via pipeline from Russia and cannot simply be replaced due to the necessary infrastructure. Even if the terminals were available, LNG is still more expensive. And a relaxation with Russia? I would be very surprised. Even if some believe it, a downfall of Putin is not within reach, and even after a downfall, it is unclear what comes next. History is full of autocrats who have led their country to the brink and still remained in power for a long time.

The topic of gas from Russia is done, those who continue to maintain this dependency can no longer be helped. The fact that we still have to import it is the best proof that something urgently needs to change here.

Gas alone increased by an average of 60% in January, and there was no war yet.

Gas was the "most sensible" solution if you looked at your own wallet, but nothing more. Personal economic calculations will no longer play a role here. The Renewable Energy Sources Act surcharge is now being removed from electricity, but someone has to pay for the "energy transition," and that can only be those who still use fossil fuels.

So anyone who still installs a gas heating system now, in my opinion, cannot be helped anymore. The goal for everyone must actually be to become as independent as possible from energy prices now.

And you do that by installing an electric heating system? Electricity comes from the socket?

That you can potentially produce yourself. You can also produce gas yourself, but you don't want to eat as many beans and onions as you would need... I wonder if there will then be a methane tax on Chili Con Carne?
