Our bedroom is 12 sqm and would actually be the children's room. The boys have the living room with 24 sqm. The living room is our TV room and would actually be the master bedroom and also has about 12 sqm. But that only works because we have a large open-plan kitchen of about 28 sqm. We could currently buy out my husband's brother and buy the house inherited from grandma. But we are still hesitant about the investment because we never intended to live there. And renting out just smells like trouble. Selling the house doesn’t feel right either. Then we would probably remain renters forever. Despite the renovations we have done in recent years, we will each maybe get 90,000 and that won’t get us far here in the region. My brother-in-law wants the money because he wants to build. His wife has inherited a plot of land that is unfortunately very nice. We are currently being selfish and hoping that it becomes too expensive for him.
Well, but there are hardly any other options than selling, renting out, or moving in yourself ;). What good does it do if the brother doesn’t build (although I think that with an inherited plot and 90,000 euros in capital, any average-earning family can build a small house)?
