If a Durran et al spreads an ideology here and considers it good, which makes hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian children homeless and tens of thousands (at least) half-orphans, then of course I demand the repeated suspension. This also works with right-wing agitation, so why not with Russian?

That would be a shame, but I hope you are being too pessimistic. Are you sure that the interior construction can only take place after the windows are installed?

Well, as a building novice, I always thought that the windows should be in place for the interior construction. Otherwise, everything is exposed to wind and weather and thieves. My boyfriend is very optimistic. He still believes that we will have our new kitchen by Christmas. Given the delay for the measurement and the delivery times stated by the kitchen studio, I am still skeptical. But with things like this, Hasi1 is usually right. We will see.

I am hearing the term "Handwerkerferien" for the first time. What does it mean and how long do they last? Do they concern all trades? I always thought that autumn/winter were the holiday periods in construction.

I don't know if you should inquire with the Chamber of Crafts, but I know about the 2 weeks of winter holidays which, at least according to our general contractor 9 years ago, were sacred to the craftsmen. Our tiler, the subcontractor, also did _not_ work during that time.

To relieve some of you here, today there are again numerous display kitchens for a small amount on a large Dutch auction portal. Alno, Nobilia, Häcker, etc. You have to see if it fits, you have to dismantle, assemble, and pick up yourself. But of course, you save five-figure amounts. There are top brand kitchens for under 1000 euros.

in our contract, 14 days each are allocated for winter and summer company holidays under construction time.
