I find it extremely expensive. Storage doesn’t cost €1,000 per kW. So in the worst case it’s €23,000 for the photovoltaic system. So €2,300 per kWp. Extremely much. Probably a deterrent offer.

Both. There are certainly all kinds of children. You are more the exception, most children from "working-class families" stay there as well (which is not bad either). But it is not about whether children get everything or not. It is about appreciation towards the children, about respecting their needs. Clearly, small children do not necessarily need their own room. But somewhat older children are happy to have a retreat, a place where they can receive friends, where they can simply have some peace. When I read here that one cannot afford a four-room apartment (which I can well understand), but still has living room and bedroom, or when I see floor plans where the children's rooms are 12 sqm, but the parents have 20 sqm bedrooms, then in my eyes that is a disregard of the children's needs. And not their material needs. Would you as an adult have to live in a room with your brother? Maybe even if you can’t stand him? And not to be misunderstood, there are certainly situations where it is okay or there is no other way.

Our bedroom is 12 sqm and was originally meant to be the children’s room. The boys have the living room with 24 sqm. The living room is our TV room and was actually supposed to be the master bedroom and is also about 12 sqm. But this only works because we have a large open-plan kitchen of about 28 sqm. We could currently buy out my husband’s brother and purchase the house inherited from grandma. But we are still hesitant about the investment because we never intended to live there. And renting it out only smells of trouble. However, selling the house doesn’t feel right either. We would probably remain renters forever. Despite the renovations we have done in recent years, we might each get 90,000 and that doesn’t help us in this region. My brother-in-law wants the money because he wants to build. His wife inherited a plot of land that is unfortunately very nicely located. We are currently being selfish and hope that it will be too expensive for him.

None of you, because you generalize your personal life circumstances. One point you forget is the fact that it is not only, similar to your case, "poor but well-protected." But also "poor, socially incompetent, and no own family stabilization measures."

"The neighbor of a friend." That is even worse than the good old brother-in-law. :D Please tell him that from hausbau-forum.de considers the offer expensive. However, there are quite different prices at the moment. The sister of our board member paid 28,800 euros including installation for 11.7 kWp including 10 kW storage. But it also strongly depends on the region. In Brandenburg it is certainly cheaper than in the south.

We’re not talking about children not getting their own room if you can afford it, but rather that if you can’t afford it, it’s not the end of the world. And sometimes I would have preferred to have learned a trade. This is not meant to be derogatory. I like to quote my former boss here. The workers earn the profit, we controllers only manage it.
