By the car driving autonomously and many people working from home.

So I am definitely partly guilty of the variety of topics in this thread, but reheating old topics? I would say we already went over that a few hundred pages ago.
- Requirement: true autonomy (so without a supervisor in the driver’s seat)
- Fewer cars needed per user.
- Later maybe no individual ownership of cars at all, you simply enter in an app from where you want to start and where exactly you want to go with what, this also enables using different cars for different purposes
- Premium subscriptions then allow driving alone or not having to go to a meeting point / shorten waiting times, speed up / shorten travel time / route
- Vehicles not currently needed autonomously transport small packages or courier goods or are charging at the moment
- Potentially no more traffic lights needed, cars can negotiate zipper merging themselves (pedestrian traffic via over-/underpass or completely on a different level)
- The name automobile is finally fitting!

I don't buy into such horror forecasts. Those were the same people who claimed we wouldn't have any gas this winter either. Fortunately, the economy is more stable than many think.

The winter is exceptionally mild, and the chip crisis as well as the shortage of skilled workers mean that many companies are not producing anywhere near as much as they could and want to. In 2023, an inflation rate of 5% is still expected, which amounts to about 15.5% price increase over 2 years. For those who are not lucky enough to have a collective bargaining agreement, without any significant compensation.

I don't believe I am making a horror forecast against this background. Especially since rents don't seem to be going down either.

PS: For those who have already been struggling, it will no longer be enough by the end of 2023. That's more people than you think. PPS: Oh, and the high energy prices are only just hitting this year. Many will have to pay back an amount equal to a month’s salary or more ;)

Exactly, and on the way back it takes the pharmacy order from the neighbor who lives exactly between the two (three) of you. It doesn't even have to be the same car.
