I can only agree. My brother had his facade redone three years ago. When I asked about the insulation, I got exactly this answer. Now he's complaining that his gas advance payment has risen to over €250 (without the still outstanding adjustment) and they're considering buying a photovoltaic system and then using infrared heating more... In my opinion, energy costs will cause prices for older existing properties to tumble.Except maybe that for electricity and gas, even in 15-20 year old houses ("insulation is nonsense, you'll never get it back in..") you should already calculate at least €600 per month. For older & larger houses, certainly more. Many will probably not find their purchase decision for a lot of money without renovation so great anymore..
