I can only agree. My brother had his facade redone three years ago. When I asked about the insulation, I got exactly this answer. Now he's complaining that his gas advance payment has risen to over €250 (without the still outstanding adjustment) and they're considering buying a photovoltaic system and then using infrared heating more... In my opinion, energy costs will cause prices for older existing properties to tumble.

I admit honestly.... if someone suddenly tells me I have to pay three times as much, I am at the limit of what is feasible

Anyone who claims here "one should have expected that" might be somewhat out of touch with reality? In what area of daily life does one expect the costs to triple? Even after a fully comprehensive insurance claim, you usually don't pay three times as much haha :)

Our electricity was increased from 32 to 46 cents... And we don't even live there yet :D but I had expected that, at 96 cents though I would have opted out or bought a better sleeping bag, then I would have to sleep at work in winter

I am still paying 25 cents for the electricity, I’ll wait and see how long it takes until that changes …. Until 2 days ago, you could still sign a yearly contract at this price here with N Ergie.

I would cancel. Last week I signed a contract with a major provider for 36 cents starting 02/01/23, fixed for 2 years.

Political measures would have led us there sooner or later. It would have been a long process, but now the realization unfortunately comes with a sledgehammer. When building a house, you decide for decades, I've always wondered why people choose gas there. The course was clear, the heavy impact now of course surprising.

The next few years will be tough, but I hope that we overall can come out of it stronger.

Consumption prices vary regionally too much to make such statements. A "insider tip" is MediaMarkt/Saturn locally for electricity contracts.

Would you like to say with whom? It would surely be interesting for many.
