Yes, but there are other factors that speak in favor of a ground-water heat pump.

1. No ugly outdoor unit or noisy indoor unit.
2. With surface collectors, you can create a drainage system above them, which ensures moisture removal and higher efficiency.

And yes, economically an air-water heat pump is probably profitable. However, with a gas boiler you are still cheaper...

That is really extremely cheeky, I'm sorry for you :(.

So far, however, nobody has been jealous of us :) We have been renovating here for 1.5 years, building permission for a plain extension took 9-10 months (constantly calling there, meanwhile prices nicely increased...), then endlessly calling after one craftsman or another, only to receive a defensive offer (could have declined right away). I admit, our nerves have seen better days. Originally, the plan was to do the electrical work and floors ourselves (and the cellar), give the rest out to contractors, and now we are doing almost the entire interior fitting ourselves

Southern BW, but rural with otherwise absolutely fair prices... just the HVAC craft is an outrage... if I also calculate the sanitary fittings, the water supply and drainage pipes, as well as the ventilation system mandatory for KfW40+, the total amount comes to €188,000.

I can hardly put it into words...

Edit: we chose a standard program, without any frills...

I contacted over 30 drilling companies in February 2022, received 6 offers. Prices ranged from 7,350 to 22k. Lead times from 16 weeks up to 24 months. Drilling depth 100m. All are fully booked.

but that was already the case a year ago. We had the offer from our drilling company. Then I thought, why not call and ask about the usual 2-3% discount common in the construction industry. Even during acceptance, I had the impression that the boss who did the acceptance found my calls "untimely." When I said the magic word "discount," I could already hear in the other party’s breath before the answer that it wasn’t going to happen. After the end of the maximum 30-second conversation, I immediately signed the offer with the date and "order placed," scanned it, and emailed it back. It was then carried out with a one-day delay (how cute, right ;) ), but technically flawless to our and the plumber’s satisfaction. Prices turned out to be quite fair in hindsight. Currently, I heard about around 30% extra costs for this trade (what is so much more expensive about drilling compared to before?)

I had the drilling done the week before last (I can't say the price because it's included in the overall GU package) and talked to the supervisor there. She said they already had a lot to do before 2020, then a quieter week until everyone got organized in the home office, and since then even much more going on. I guess with the demand you can simply charge higher prices. Although the crew is still wow and I can already understand why they ask for around 10k there. (Pictures in the house pictures thread)
