With us too. I believe that long-standing loyalty is simply rewarded with us, so that prices do not increase at all, as you have not changed the provider every year.

And I somehow cannot understand that....how can it be that one pays so little, while another is many times higher? Then they should meet in the middle, right? Are these now the providers who are supported with billions from the taxpayer?

Maybe the letters will still come. I was only "due" this week as well. Don't worry, you won't be forgotten

Work price from 28.95 ct to 46.81 ct. Basic price remains at 131 € p. a.

We have now also received increases of over 20 cents/kWh working price on household electricity and heat pump electricity. That is madness. I am now writing to the energy supplier to increase the feed-in tariff of the photovoltaic system due to the energy crisis :-) And when I look for other providers, the prices are sometimes significantly higher.....

It is more likely because all electricity providers have totally different purchasing conditions. Many that are now so expensive had stocked up on the spot market earlier. They suddenly found themselves without reasonably priced deliverable electricity. Others had long-term contracts under conditions that did not require (at least short-term) drastic increases (did not require).

And some make obscene profits. I have a close relative who works in the industry and his employer constantly pays employees bonuses and extra salaries to avoid the windfall tax they would otherwise have to pay due to the unexpectedly high revenues. In other words: the high prices are by far not always justified. But whoever can, takes.
