It always depends on what I buy. I have always paid attention to quality and regionality. These products have always cost more, but they were not shipped halfway around the world and do not clog up the roads.

And especially with these families I wonder why they don't shop more consciously and regionally. Honestly: with these people in Germany I simply question the consumption behavior, because in Germany everyone can afford food if they just want to. Then you simply don't smoke, don't buy soda, but thin juice spritzers with tap water (we have been doing this for years), throw away less food and as harsh as it sounds: sometimes cook yourself and don't warm up ready meals at home.
Germans prefer to put Super Plus in their cars and then pour milk into themselves that must not cost more than 60 cents per liter...

Only someone who has never really experienced poverty can claim that... born with a silver spoon in their mouth? Tell that to the single mother hairdresser with three kids at home to shop local and organic. By now, she is just glad if she can even keep the fridge stocked.

The group of people you mentioned certainly exists - but I will never understand such generalizations...

Especially since probably cheap soft drinks are also cheaper than juice (rightly so)

A quick update on energy prices:
In Wolfsburg, district heating prices will increase by approximately 70% as of 01.07.22.
Unlike gas, I have no option to choose an alternative provider.
