It's a shame that we don't build more synchronously, otherwise we should arrange a "Kaffeefahrt" to Poland. We could rent a truck together, it might be worth it...

You don't have to go shopping on Sundays. Saturday is absolutely enough. And it's not necessarily worth it just for 3 screws. You should know exactly what you need. A large trailer is usually sufficient. Compare prices online beforehand, look for deals, etc. Or just drive there, order the kitchen and have it delivered or pick it up. I always bring cigarettes with me, that's worth it anyway.

In Szczecin, where among others the specialty store Labradoor is located, there are plenty of other shops for construction. The tax rate in Poland is 23%. But if you buy for construction (only with a Polish address) you pay only an 8% tax rate. So if you have a friend/acquaintance there and are not necessarily after warranty/guarantee, you can save a lot. Some craftsmen from Berlin are out there regularly shopping.

From what time period have you come? You are partly right, but a tailor already charges a double-digit amount for pants alterations.

When I read stuff like this…

One can also see it differently. When it comes to financing, money simply no longer matters. A thousand here or there simply doesn't matter. This forum is the best example of that. When you then read people who finance 500,000 euros having only saved up equity of 20,000€. With monthly income of 5,000€. Then comes the saying, we'll just pay off a few years longer. Sure, politics sets the example. I don't want to criticize that fundamentally, maybe it's even the right strategy. However, I personally wouldn't really like it.

I was (once) again browsing online on Immowelt and found the ID 22T8954  If land prices are counted towards the construction costs.
