If you then find someone who messes up the online stuff for you … unfortunately, I searched in vain for one …
It is always a question of what expectations you have. There is a portal that eBay sold some time ago. There you get craftsmen and companies who a) are available immediately and b) do everything you want. And I am not talking about undeclared work (although for one company there are about 5-8 providers who cannot issue an invoice...). Overall, a really large offer – from small jobs to entire trades. If you then find someone who blocks your online stuff ... unfortunately I have been looking in vain for one ...
It's a bit like in a restaurant. Of course, all the individual ingredients are cheaper at Aldi, Lidl, or even at the market – but you also need to know how to cook, and the plate doesn’t look like it was professionally prepared. The first 10 silicone joints usually look like they were painted by a five-year-old. The drill slips, and suddenly the beautiful large-format tile is damaged in several places. Do you want that in the new bathroom of your dream house?
To stick with the image, a home-cooked meal made with love can mean a lot for the family / one's own satisfaction.
It is a question of type and a question of one's own priorities.
Aside from the fact that for various reasons (shortage of skilled workers, sub-sub-sub companies, etc.) the "professional" result does not necessarily correspond to careful + "love-made" work.
I would very much like to pay for good work, for the work. I find the conflation with material surcharges very regrettable.
