Old houses are also listed longer here compared to last year, and I also think that prices for one or another property have been slightly corrected downwards.

However, I observe the opposite with condominiums... Whether old or new, the price remains consistently high. Some have been listed for a longer time without any price correction.

That's still an important point – for us, the roof is also watertight, windows installed, plumbing including the lifting system completed, and according to the company, the heat pump is already in stock. Besides the "saved" house and interest costs, the fact that the majority is done definitely lets me sleep better..

At the moment, we also still feel like winners. Low interest rates and the building contract signed before the whole price madness for building materials started. I asked our site manager in April how much more expensive it would be to build the house now, I think it was 90-100k..

We will see what the future brings :)

I believe the real winners are those who are already finished. I don't really feel like a winner yet until we've moved in and everything around the house is more or less finished. But compared to buying a non-renovated and run-down 70s house at almost the same price...

"Whether you are standing correctly you see when the light goes on" and "Those who do nothing also make no mistakes"

Doing nothing never was and never will be the solution.
Just as little as how the world will look in 10 years.

If 50% of the house were standing, I could also sleep better. Due to the heat pump issue, I already ordered the pump in April; now it is installed before the roof is up. The craftsman has never built a pump this early before. According to him, the current waiting time for heat pumps is 8 months. In recent months, the Zehnder q350 ventilation systems also had long waiting times of 3-4 months. Just called, they are in stock now. Maybe the situation is easing as it feels like no one can build anymore.
