I found out today that some plots have already been returned (reservation canceled) in our development area... Whether because of the construction prices or the obligation for local heating, I unfortunately do not know...

… the crazy thing, however, is that those wanting to build still have to chase after construction companies. Hopefully, this will finally settle down.

Because they have probably secured quotas to get favorable prices from the manufacturers. They are not doing that out of charity.

There was nothing meant to be arrogant. I haven’t inherited either and most likely won’t in the next 15-20 years. I don’t want an early inheritance either, it’s supposed to be my house. For that, we simply left out expensive things like the basement. If I had to start the house building topic from scratch today, I don’t know if I would still go through with it. I roughly calculated this a few days ago in this thread. So, respect to everyone who can still get through it. But regarding Allkauf Haus… they have a certain reputation as cheap builders. That put us off a bit, so we didn’t look into Allkauf Haus in detail. Being cheap is all well and good as long as many people build who don’t care about the company’s reputation because they see no other chance to get their own house. But you’re vulnerable if this group suddenly can’t build anymore. And at 3% interest and rising, that is no longer the case for many, even if they are not poor. (See above)
