I just received the offer for the earthworks and was shocked at how much the costs exceed the plan.
Removing 250m3 of topsoil, excavating 120m3 of earth for the house, and bringing in 390t of basalt gravel + laying rainwater and wastewater pipes is supposed to cost 33,000 EUR including VAT. That does not include earth disposal...
Do you consider that realistic?
Realistic is always the comparison on-site with other, identical offers.
Certainly, your offer is overall high, but there is also quite an extensive scope.
Why basalt gravel? What about RC material?
The pipes seem expensive, yes, but these are flat rates including labor. That means with an excavator and possibly manual excavation if necessary.
With 90m and all the bends, one can also assume that quite a bit of work is involved regarding drainage. Long distances require a lot of excavation because of the necessary incline; every bend is work (and you don’t exactly have few of them).
Maybe simplify the drainage.
